This two-storey apartment with a view to the Danube started out as a classic, brown-toned home with antique furniture, but during our conceptual design phase the owner himself realized that he wanted to permanently cast off this serious world and move into a more bohemian environment instead. We kept the classic design language but changed the brown shades to lighter tones, and chose navy blue, our client’s favourite, as the main colour that connects the whole apartment.

A fun fact about this project is that the house was not able to bear with the two and a half meter couch, so it had to be towed off the coast of the Danube with the help of a winch on the roof.
